Sonny-Bob Lodge is located 210 miles North of Sault Ste. Marie on the eastern shore of remote Oba Lake and is accessible by the famous Algoma Central Railway or float plane.

Oba Lake has always been known as one of the finest remote walleye lakes; also offering numerous large northern pike, as well as whitefish and jumbo perch.

Sonny-Bob Lodge, what a great place to spend your fishing vacation. The scenery is spectacular and the fishing is fantastic.

Cottages

Cottages are only footsteps from the Algoma Central Railway. No portaging necessary you are off the train and ready to start fishing within minutes.

Sonny-Bob Lodge is centrally located on Oba Lake, seven miles from both north and south ends of the lake.

Our cottages are various sizes and will sleep two to eight adults comfortably. For your comfort, single beds are supplied.

Each cottage is self-contained, including cooking utensils, stove and refrigerator. For your safety, all cottages are heated with oil. We generate our own power for lights in the evening. Some cottages offer two piece bath. Central shower and a recreation room is available for all guests. Sonny-Bob Lodge is a small camp offering only five housekeeping units, enabling us to provide friendly, personalized service.

When you are going fishing and want to get away, why book with a large crowded camp? Small is better.

Our family has been fishing Oba Lake for six generations, and started operating Sonny-Bob Lodge in 1969. Years of experience in the tourist industry makes us your best choice.

Oba Lake

Oba Lake surface area is 60,067 acres (14 miles long by 1 to 3 miles wide.)

Maximum depth is 43 feet, volume 77,731 acres, perimeter 49.3 miles.

Oba Lake is easily navigated and guide service is not necessary. Each boat is provided with complimentary map with the "hot" spots marked.

For comfort and safety on the water, we offer 14 foot aluminum boats equipped with 9.9 Mercury outboards
