BEAR HUNTING AT SONNY-BOB LODGE is offered from Mid August to Mid September. (Opening week Aug 18, 2007).  Our hunting area encompasses 125 square kilometers and is hunted only by our guests.
 
HUNTING PRICES 2007 (MINIMUM OF TWO ADULTS
One can be on a Fishing Rate Plan)
 
HUNTING PACKAGE INCLUDES:
  • Fully equipped two bedroom housekeeping cottage. Personal baited hunting area
  • 9.9 hp motor, 14' boat and gasoline every 2-3 adults
  • Use of central shower, Bar-B-Q and more
U.S. CURRENCY
  • 6 Days (Sun-Sat) - $855.00 US per person (App. $940.00 Canadian)
  • 4 Days (Sun-Thur) - $800.00 US per person (App. $880.00 Canadian)
  • (Canadian price based at 1.10 exchange rate)

        *Larger cottage with half bath additional $34.00 US (App. $37.40 Canadian) per person

  • Deposit of $400.00 US (App. $440.00 Canadian) per person is required
  • Deposit non-refundable. If someone in your party does not show up their deposit is forfeited.
  • Personal checks accepted for deposit only.
  • Certified or travelers checks are accepted at camp.
  • No refund for early departure.
  • Prices are subject to change.
  • Taxes, Freight Charges, Hunting License, Export Permit not included Cottages accommodate 2-7 people.

Hunters are responsible for cleaning and skinning along with preparation of the meat. A export permit is required to take the bear back into the States. The permit can be purchased in Wawa or Sault Ste. Marie on your way home. Hunters provide their own safety harness, tree stand and/or blind. HUNTER ORANGE MUST BE WORN EXCEPT IN A TREE STAND.

NON-RESIDENTS MUST REGISTER THEIR GUNS AT THE BORDER BEFORE CROSSING INTO CANADA. YOU CAN APPLY FOR THE FORMS BY CALLING 1-800-731-4000. HUNTERS ARE REQUESTED TO PAY A $50.00 ($41.00 US) GUN REGISTRATION FEE AND FORM JUS909 WILL BECOME YOUR TEMP. FIREARMS LICENSE. THIS FORM MUST BE SIGNED IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMS OFFICER.
